Updated up to March 23, 2012: Complete List of PRC Approved (With and Without Examination) Real Estate Brokers, Appraisers, and Consultants Since 2010


The Professional Regulatory Board of Real Estate Service (PRB RES) has again released the latest resolutions approving the application of real estate professionals for a license without examination in accordance with RA 9646 or the so-called Grandfather Clause.

These are Resolution No. 07 Series of 2012 dated February 2, 2012 for appraisers – approving the licenses of 12 appraisers; and Resolution No. 6 Series of 2012 on the same date for the 181 new Real Estate Brokers.

Early this month (February 28, 2012) PRC also released the list of new appraisers through Resolution No. 05, Series 2012 for 408 Appraisers. Welcome to the industry, guys!

Under RA 9646 (fondly called as the RESA law, or the Real Estate Service Act) the practice of real estate service without a license in the Philippines is prohibited – and has a hefty penalty of P 200,000 and / or four (4) years imprisonment for violators depending upon the discretion of the Court.

Well, for the benefit of those interested to see if their application was approved, or for clients who wants to check if their broker is indeed licensed as claimed, here is the list of those approved by the PRB RES so far:

    • hello sir can u please give me the lists of names in the approved resolution no. 28 and 29 series of 2013. This is in relation to the real estate appraisers without examination. I had been searching the approved resolution but i cannot find it. I heard from a friend of mine at the PRC – Baguio that the resolution 28 and 29 was already posted. Thanks a lot!

      • Shalom! Sir as far as I know there were already approved resolutions for real estate appraisers w/o examination for the year 2013 and the last resolution I know is No. 28 and 29.   1. sir, good day! this is for query only. may i know what is the equivalent eligibility? if i am a license real estate appraiser, is it sub prof or prof in civil service. thank you and more power.

    • under CSC omnibus rules implementing book V of E.O no. 292 and other csc laws, the names of those who pass the bar or board examinations shall be authomatically entered in the corresponding register of eligibles under R.A 1080 w/o need for issuance of certificates.hence, appropriate for second level or professional eligibility.fyi.

    • Hi Jun, sorry I was very busy with work and have no time to open my webpage until now to answer your question. If you are referring to RA 1080, I suggest that you inquire directly from Civil Service. In my case, I am a civil engineer and I received years ago a RA 1080 eligibility for Professional Civil Service Eligibility. But I stressed that you inquire directly with CSC for an official and final answer.

    • Hi Armie,
      I’ll try to help you and do some research why Reso No. 16 is not posted. Maybe you can also write the PRB-RES directly for a copy. If it is a government document then it should not be confidential – but there are processes to be followed in getting a copy.

    • Hi,
      I already posted the latest PRC and PRB-RES resolutions up to Dec 2011 – which includes for Appraisers. I suggest you verify the status of your application with the PRC. Don’t forget to bring with you your claim stub, receipts and other documents you have when you applied under the “grandfather clause”.

  7. sir i would like to inquire about where i could get a certification for real estate management? kasi i tried applying sa filinvest, sa mga kasama kong applicants, sila required to take 120 hours, sa akin 12 hours lang, so i need to attend ddaw a seminar bago ako makapasok sa kanila…

  9. SEC. 22. Roster of Real Estate Service Practitioners

    The Board, in coordination with the integrated organizations of real estate service practitioners, shall prepare, update and maintain a roster of real estate service practitioners which shall contain the names of all registered real estate service practitioners, their residence and office addresses, license number, dates of registration or issuance of certificates, and other data which the Board may deem pertinent. Copies thereof shall be made available to the public upon request.

  10. Sir I’m worried about my apllication.. Nabigay ko naman po lahat ng req at n check naman po nila bakit po kaya wala pa ding resulta sa apply namin as real estate APPRAISER without examination. My requirements have been submitted since July 6, 2011. may na didis approved po ba maski na verify na nila nung time n mag submit kami at pinagbayad na kami s prc. at waiting kami sabi 2 to 3 mos daw po. 😦 thanks po.

  11. Sir Christian Greetings po ang problema ko po ay me similarity sa problema ni Alelie R. De Vera mg 1 year na po yung application ko ng appraiser without examination e until now wala pa po. Kelan kaya mgllabas ulit ng mga list of new appraisers. Lahat din po ng mga requirements naipasa ko rin po.

    • Hi. 10 years experience is more than enough to qualify as Real Estate salesperson to be registered with the PRC – if you have availed of it before.

      It will not however entitle you to be “promoted” to a broker unless you complied with the other requirements of the RA 9646.

I am one among those who applied as real estate appraiser by virtue of Section 20 of RA 9646 (Registration without Exdamination) or the so called “grandfather clause” that until now…we have no updates about it. We are still keep on waiting for its approval or at least notified us for disapproval for us not to expect….
    How about sir.. if we decided to take the licensure examination for real estate appraiser next year (2014), do we are still qualified to take such without taking the required course on real estate? Thank you.. amy

    • Hi there. Yes.

      More or less, the BS REM graduates maybe (and it is just an estimate!) available on 2016 yet. Therefore, based on RA 9646, you can take the exam provided you are qualified (see RA 9646) and has taken the 120 Units of seminar.

      If you are based at Cagayan de Oro, please contact me since we are accredited as PRC Service Provider for the said seminar.

      I am also a PRC Accredited lecturer for the said seminars – brokers and appraisers.

    • Hi Ma’am. I suggest that 1) you personally verify the status with the PRC Office where you applied, or 2) send a letter to Chairman EG Ong, or 3) Call the PRB RES Office. Pag kinulit yan sila, baka they will respond. Good luck.
